The Bipartisans for Guy Richardson committee is hosting “Pie for Guy” Sunday, Oct. 2, at Chuck and Carla Offenburger’s Simple Serenity Farm.
Richardson is seeking re-election to the Greene County board of supervisors. He has served four terms on the board.
Pie and ice cream will be served starting at 2:30 pm. There will be no charge, but a free will donation will be accepted for Bipartisans for Guy Richardson.
Richardson will be introduced and will make remarks at 3:15 pm.
At 3:45, auctioneer Dale Higgins will auction a pie made by Marianne Carlson, Greene County’s baker extraordinaire and holder of dozens of Iowa State Fair blue ribbons. Proceeds of that auction will also go to Bipartisans for Guy Richardson.
No RSVP is needed. Attendees should bring lawn chairs. Watch local media and social media for a change in location in the case of inclement weather.
Simple Serenity Farm is located at 15156 310th St – eight miles south of Jefferson on Highway 4 and then east on 310th St. It is the only house on the north side of the road.
